Feathers on Clydesdale/Paint Cross

>> Jul 8, 2010

My six-year-old mare has light feathering due to her Clydesdale momma.  I was really hoping that it would grow in thick and longer than it has and every year, it gets a little thicker, but I don't think she'll ever have the feathering her momma, Holly Berry, has.  She's crossed with Dominant Jeans (paint horse out of Oregon) so I guess the cross between the two resulted in shorter feathering.  Perhaps if I rub some hair growth shampoo into her legs? Just kidding!

She's pretty just the way she is.  Light feathering and a sweet disposition is just fine with me.  She'll follow me around the pasture like a dog.  I just love her!
