I blog and part of being a successful blogger is having traffic on your blog. Some people use social networks, others use forums, and some search for the best web directory and list their blog or blogs on directories to direct traffic.
I get a lot of traffic from search engines and I have a regular number of subscribers to my different blogs that bring back regular traffic. This is one thing I should work on though - bringing even more traffic in.
I just hit a milestone. I just hit the 100 post mark on this blog (one of my newer blogs) and have had over 7,000 visits to it! That averages to 70 visits per post...not bad.

Read more...I've spent odd moments over the last couple of days designing a new header for this blog to use with a new template that I found. Yesterday, I loaded it up.
I like this new layout better than the previous one that I had. I hope you do too!
Found the header pic, lol. All this template stuff just confuses me.
I need to find a really nice COWGIRL template but this will do until then.
Well, I switched my blog from a blogspot domain to its own domain and I lost my header pic in the process. I'm not sure where it went:( *sigh*
Read more...This blog is in the formative stage so expect it to possibly go through some growing pains and change as I figure out which direction I want to take it. The general idea right now is coming from my love of horses and having to "cowgirl up" to ride because of fear. It comes from watching my daughter go through some tough times with anxiety and fear and hoping she will pull herself through it ok and stronger.
We are faced frequently with the choice to do something that is right for us or others, but very hard to do, or not doing it at all out of fear. Stepping out of your comfort zone to do what is right, even if it is difficult or hurts, is something I think most women can understand (having to leave the boyfriend who didn't treat you right, having to request equality in the workplace which is thankfully not as big of an issue as it used to be, etc.).
Definition of Cowgirl Up: Be your own woman, make your own path; take responsibility for who you are and what you do; step up to a challenge; toughen up; to make something happen as opposed to just complaining about it; taking charge of a situation. The feminine variation of "cowboy up" (below).The feminine variation of Cowboy Up: when things are getting tough you have to get back up, dust yourself off and keep trying.
